How Amazon.nl FBA fees work
Size tier from the box
Amazon Europe uses envelopes, parcels and oversize tiers. Envelopes bill on unit weight; parcels and oversize bill on the greater of unit weight and dimensional weight (L × W × H ÷ 5,000).
Price-based discounts
Low-Price FBA applies to envelopes and small parcels up to 400 g priced at €20.00 or less including VAT (€12.00 in beauty, health, grocery, office, books, kitchen and a few others).
Surcharge and peak
A 1.5% fuel and logistics surcharge has been added to fulfilment fees since 17 April 2026. Amazon.nl has no festive peak fee on the 2026 card.
VAT comes out of the price
Prices on Amazon.nl include VAT (21% standard rate). Referral fees are charged on the VAT-inclusive price, but if you are VAT registered the VAT is not yours. The calculator removes it before profit.
A box one size up can be cheaper
On Amazon.nl a small parcel up to 3.9 kg costs €5.90 on the card, but a standard parcel up to 3.9 kg costs €5.15. If your product sits near the top of the small-parcel tier, a slightly larger box that moves it into standard parcel can lower the fee: test both boxes in the calculator.
Where it sits in Europe
For a 300 g standard parcel, Amazon.nl is number 6 of 9 (1 = cheapest) of the nine stores on Amazon's Europe card, at €4.04 before the surcharge. The cheapest is Amazon.pl, the most expensive Amazon.fr (converted at ECB rates).

VAT 21% is included in prices. No digital services fee applies on this store. Lithium batteries and dangerous goods add €0.10 per unit.

Questions sellers ask
Is the referral fee charged on the price with VAT?
Yes. On Amazon.nl the referral fee is a percentage of the total price the customer pays, including VAT. A VAT-registered seller then pays the VAT over to the tax authority, so profit has to be worked out on the price without VAT. The calculator does both.
What is the digital services fee?
Amazon adds a digital services fee (DSF) to its fees in some stores to pass on national digital services taxes. Since 20 March 2026 the rate is 3% for sales in France, Italy and Spain for most sellers established outside those countries (on FBA fees too in France), and 2% applies in the UK. It depends on where your business is established, so the calculator lets you change it.
Do I pay the same FBA fee in every EU country?
No. Each store has its own column on the rate card, and the fee is set by the store where the item is sold. A 300 g parcel costs noticeably more to fulfil in France or Italy than in Germany or Poland. The marketplace switcher above shows the same product in every store.
How accurate is this compared with Amazon's Revenue Calculator?
It applies the published Amazon.nl rate card row by row. Amazon's own calculator reads the dimensions Amazon has measured for a listed ASIN, which no outside tool can see, so use it to double-check a specific listing and this one to model products before you list them.
