How Amazon.com.mx FBA fees work
Four price bands
The same box costs less to fulfil when it sells for less: Amazon Mexico has columns for under MXN 150, 150–299, 299–499 and MXN 499 or more.
Two category cards
Health and personal care, grocery and alcoholic drinks have their own, much cheaper card below MXN 499. Everything else uses the general card.
Weight rules
Envelope and standard items up to 0.5 kg bill on actual weight. Heavier items bill on the greater of actual and dimensional weight (L × W × H ÷ 5,000), in 0.25 kg steps above 1 kg for standard size and 0.5 kg steps for oversize.
IVA everywhere
Prices, referral fees and FBA fees all include 16% IVA. A registered business pays the IVA on sales and credits the IVA inside Amazon's fees; the calculator does both.

Example: a 25 × 18 × 4 cm unit weighing 300 g, sold for MX$399.00, is a standard with a fulfilment fee of MX$52.00 including the surcharge and a referral fee of MX$59.85.

Why is the FBA fee so much lower under MXN 150?
Amazon Mexico prices fulfilment by item price as well as size. A standard 300 g unit is MXN 28.10 under MXN 150 but MXN 64.00 at MXN 499 or more on the general card.
Which categories use the cheaper card?
Health and Personal Care, Grocery and Gourmet, and Alcoholic Beverages. Below MXN 499 their fulfilment fees are a fraction of the general card.
Is there a minimum referral fee?
Yes, MXN 8.00 per item in every category, IVA included.
