How Amazon.com.au FBA fees work
Four fee columns
Australia prices FBA by size, weight, item price and category together. Under $13, Home and Kitchen and Pet get the lowest column; $13 to $20 is cheaper for Home and Kitchen, Pet, Grocery and Sports; everything else and every item from $20 pays the standard column.
Dimensional weight ÷ 4,000
Envelopes bill on unit weight. Parcels and oversize bill on the greater of unit weight and L × W × H ÷ 4,000 (kg), rounded up to the gram. That divisor is stricter than Europe's 5,000.
No referral minimum
Amazon.com.au has no minimum referral fee. Media, video games and consoles also pay a $1.00 closing fee.
GST
Customer prices include 10% GST and Amazon charges GST on its fees to Australian sellers. A GST-registered seller remits the sale GST and claims back the fee GST; the calculator lets you switch this off.

Example: a 25 × 18 × 4 cm unit weighing 300 g, sold for $29.99, is a large envelope with a fulfilment fee of $7.02 including the surcharge and a referral fee of $4.50.

Questions sellers ask
Why did my fee drop when I lowered the price below $20?
For Home and Kitchen, Pet, Grocery and Sports items, Amazon.com.au charges a lower fulfilment column between $13 and $20, and Home and Kitchen and Pet get another lower column under $13. The calculator picks the column from your price and category.
Is the dimensional weight divisor really 4,000?
Yes. Amazon.com.au divides L × W × H in cm by 4,000 to get kilograms, so a 30 × 20 × 15 cm box bills as at least 2.25 kg.
Are FBA fees shown with GST?
No. Amazon publishes Australian FBA fees excluding GST and adds GST for Australian sellers. Untick "VAT registered" in the options if you cannot claim it back.
